Some call it the silent killer of #emotional intelligence while others consider it an emotional and energy booster. I belong to the latter group who cherishes each sip of #coffee I have with ultimate bliss. Nowadays, coffee has become a lifestyle and a very happening trend which many people follow. All sorts of #organic and specialty coffee shops continue to open up throughout the world, and bloggers like me continue to relish it. Indeed not everybody likes coffee as some consider it bitter, yet there are millions of coffee-lovers who look forward to their coffee every day.

As a matter of fact, there are various blends of the two main varieties of coffee beans. These two main species are #Arabica and #Robusta which according to several studies and research have health benefits. For instance, Robusta beans have a high amount of antioxidants, thus it contains anti-inflammatory effects; whereas, Arabica coffee beans include various vitamins and minerals such as magnesium, manganese, and vitamin B. Obviously, #overindulgence of any kind will harm the body hence it is recommended never to drink more than 5 cups of coffee a day. Nonetheless, has anyone actually reflected on the emotions associated with it while we drink coffee? We just know that we feel good, but why do we actually get this feeling of #joy? You feel more alert and it improves your mood, but are both mood and emotion the same thing? Accordingly to what I think emotions are temporary as you can experience many emotions during the day while a mood takes some time to wear off. Naturally, that again depends on a person's character and tolerance level in daily life.

Research states that it improves cognitive performance; so it includes anything to do with #memory and attention span for a short time. In other words, it gives you an #adrenaline rush to complete your task and that is what puts you in a good frame of mind. Yes, I do agree that it takes away sleep from some people, including some of my friends, but I guess that depends on everybody's body and how it reacts to #caffeine. For instance, I have 2 cups of coffee daily and I still get good sleep.

Caffeine reacts differently with older people; hence it is always suggested for older people to have coffee late morning or in the evening when their #energies are low. As stated before, coffee stimulates alertness and attention, giving people a temporary "high" to get through a busy day. So there is this pre-coffee mood of when you are going to have coffee so you look forward to it with #excitement. Then, the constant delight you encounter while you take each sip from your coffee mug, and lastly, the feeling of completeness once your coffee is over. This entire process is what alters a person's mood, many times improving the mood and frame of mind. Some people #experience this entire process when they have #chocolate as it fills that void in them and releases that happy chromosome called phenylethylamine. 

Some research states that coffee even reduces #depression, and personally speaking it does lift your energies when you are feeling low. So if you are one of these people who define emotions associated with coffee as happy, awake, pleased, satisfied, sociable, and relaxed, continue enjoying your coffee! While others call it an intoxicating drug or believe that coffee harms the body while tea doesn't, you know what exactly to tell them now. Neither tea nor coffee should be had more than 5 times daily as an indulgence of any sort will hinder a person's #health. Otherwise, there is no harm in enjoying this tiny vice we call coffee.
